I did this podcast in May of 2017 and discuss the ideas of training, discipline vs. motivation and a host of other stuff. Also, I talk a lot about training young athletes and the principles behind it. Joe Schillero does a good job on his podcast and this was very cool to do.
The programming matters; but what really matters is the principles behind the programming and the captain of the ship (i.e. who is the El Jefe of the program?) Do you as a coach inspire confidence? Are you asking your kids to do something you won't or haven't done? Do your words actually matter? Are you a blowhard who coaches through screaming/cheerleading/idiocy?
Just some food for thought, fatty.
